[taipei] Rewritten Roman alphabet pronunciation

I went to the cyber town, "Guanghua Market" of Taipei. The name of the elementary school which I saw was renewed by Chinese pinyin notation. Thomas Wade Romaji notation which was used in Taiwan before was very strange for a foreigner.

Where is different? The spelling of the phonetic representation is different. For example, as for Capital of Taiwan, Thomas Wade notation is "tai pei", pinyin notation "tai bei".However, the pronunciation is the same as both.

With the new times, Romaji notation is turning into notation used in Mainland China.
